조방제 영진사이버대학교 총장이 제26대 대구교대 총동창회장으로 취임했다.
조방제 총장은 최근 비대면으로 열린 대구교대 총동창회 이사회에서 단일후보 추천으로 회장에 선임되어, 이달 26일부터 2023년 4월 29일까지 2년간 총동창회를 이끌게 되었다.
조방제 총장은 대구교대 13회 졸업생으로, 계명대학교에서 교육학 박사학위를 취득했으며, 졸업 후 부산동일초등학교를 시작으로 대구계성초등학교 등에서 교사로 근무했다.
대구대학교 강사를 거쳐 94년부터는 영진전문대학교 유아교육과 교수로 재직하면서 학과장, 부설유치원장, 교무처장 등을 거쳤다.
대외 활동으로 교육부 교육정책 자문위원, 경상북도교육청 평가위원, 대구광역시교육청 교육과정위원, 한국유아교육학회 대구경북지회장 등을 역임하였다.
아동창의성교육 프로그램 개발 특허 등의 공로를 인정받아 대통령 표창을 받은 바 있으며, 현재는 대구경북영어마을 원장과 영진사이버대학교 총장으로 재직하고 있다.
취임사를 통해 조방제 총장은 “모교와 동창회 발전을 위해 애써주신 전임 회장님을 비롯한 임원진에게 감사드린다”며, 대구경북뿐만 아니라 전국 각지에서 초등교육을 담당하며 우리나라 교육발전에 기여하고 있는 2만여 동문들의 화합과 전국 총동문회 조직 활성화를 위해 노력하고, 교육 발전과 인류복지에 이바지할 참된 스승을 기르고 있는 모교 대구교대의 발전을 위해 최선을 다하겠다"고 말했다.

Chobang-je, president of Yeongjin Science University, was appointed president of the 26th Daegu University General President.
Cho was appointed chairman at the recently non-face-to-face Board of Directors of daegu University's General Conference, where he was appointed as chairman on a single-report recommendation, and will lead the General Conference for two years from 26 April 2023 to April 29, 2023.

In his external activities, he served as an advisor to the Ministry of Education policy, an evaluation committee member of the Gyeongsangbuk-do School Administration, a curriculum committee member of the Daegu Metropolitan School District, and president of the Daegu Gyeongbuk District Of the Korean Society of Infant Education.
He received a presidential commendation for his patents in developing children's intellectual health education programs, and is currently president of Daegu Gyeongbuk English Language Center and president of Yeongjin Science University.
In his inaugural address, Chobang-jo said, "Thank you to the executives, including the former president, who has been committed to the development of my alma mater and alumni association," and said, "I will do my best to promote the unity of more than 20,000 alumni who are responsible for elementary education not only in Daegu Gyeongbuk, but also throughout the country, and to revitalize the organization of the General Alumni Association of Korea, and to promote the development of our alma mater, which has been committed to the development of education and the efforts to contribute to the welfare of humanity."
